RV Dreamers

With money tight, camping has been on the backburner this summer - hence the lack of updates here lately. Instead, we’ve been finding ways to have fun that don’t cost a lot of money.  Like heading up to Skibowl’s Adventure Park for the day, where they had graciously invited local media folks up to Mount Hood for free rides and a BBQ (yes - definitely one of the nicer perks of working in the news business).

And since they had a bungee jump there, Scott and I thought we’d give it a try - because we’re such adrenaline junkies, you know (just kidding).  Seriously, though, when there’s a bungee jump tower right there and you don’t have to pay to do it, why the hell not?  So we let the folks at Skibowl harness us up and we took the plunge - even me, who is scared of heights.

Here’s the video of my jump.  I didn’t want to be a wuss and back out, so I just went for it.  And you know what?  It was FANTASTIC!  I would definitely do it again.

P.S. Excuse the sideways video… hubby was shooting from his cell phone and turned it to try to get the whole thing in the shot. And I’ll post his jump later… we’re waiting to get the video from his sister’s camcorder.
