Come next May, the cost of staying the night at one of Oregon’s state parks is going to go up… something that Scott and I are none too happy about.
Oh sure, we understand this is the first time the rates have gone up in 13 years and our state parks do have to account for inflation. And we really do want our state parks to stay in good condition so we can enjoy the time we spend in them.
But it still sucks and we are going to whine about it.

Honestly, an extra $4 a night might not seem that bad, but when you go camping as much as we do (and when you’re trying to keep your head above water in an economic recession that sometimes seems to have no end in sight), it can really put a cramp in your plans.
Still, we think it will be a little harder for tent campers to take. It’ll now cost them $17 or $19 a night. Seems rather expensive, if you ask us, just to park your car and pitch a tent. At least RVers get hookups.

Interesting. This could be due to the fact that there are a lot of people which is going RV camping every day. Camping grounds maintenance and of course, due to the fact that most RV Campers might have a lot of savings.

That is right.. it been so costly these days to even spend a night in one of those average RV Resort Parks much more the extra $4 a night. But if its really worthwhile and your family will have a great time together, you wouldn’t mind paying for that extra bucks, right?
Warm regards,
Daniel

Well, with this economy i’m not surprised the parks are raising prices.
